The marriage will take place on September 28 at the home of Miss Thompson's parents in Manilla, Iowa. Miss Thompson is well known in Salina, having been professor of languages at the Wesleyan for several years.

Accident Takes A. N. Collins, 77

Albert Noel Collins, 77, manager of the Victoria Avenue Citrus Association for 25 years before his retirement about five years ago, was killed last night at Laguna, Calif., when he was struck by a bus while walking across a street.

it is not yet known whether funeral services will be held here or in Los Angeles, where Mr. and Mrs. Collins have lived since his retirement.

Mr. Collins, a charter member of the Riverside Kiwanis Club and a member of the First Methodist Church, came her in 1907 from St. Louis, Mo., where he was engaged in the drug store business.

He entered the citrus industry on his arrival and was associated with the Riverside Lemon Association for a time before taking over as manager of the Victoria Avenue Association.

Born Dec. 13, 1872, in Solomon, Kan., Mr. Collins attended Kansas Wesleyan College before entering business.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Margaret Collins of Los Angeles; a brother, F. N. Collins of Riverside; three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Edith Bishop of Indio, Mrs. Loretta May Matson of Pacific Palisades, Calif., and Mrs. Ruth Emily Shaible of Salina, Kan.; two sons and two daughters, Nole A. Collins of Glendale, and Donald Collins of Anaheim, and three grandchildren.
