The marriage of Sergeant Major Irvin Dunnington, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Dunnington, and Miss Jessie Sue Jolliffe, of Belington, was solemnized last evening in this city at the home of the officiating clergyman, Rev. C. D. Mitchell, of the Central Christian church. Sergeant Dunnington has been stationed at the First regiment camp since the mobilization of the National guard. His bride is a member of a well known Belington family. Sergeant Dunnington is a grandson of the late Carter Dunnington.

Irvine L. Dunnington, 58, of 141 North Ewing-st, general traffic manager of Anchor Hocking Glass Corp., died at 6:15 p.m. Monday in Sarasota, Fla., where he was taken the first of the year for his health. He suffered a stroke in November.
Mr. Dunnington, native of Syracuse, Kan., began his association with the glass industry in 1912 when he joined the staff of Monongah Glass Co. at Fairmont, W. Va. In 1929 he went to the Turner Glass Co., Terre Haute, Ind., which later, as the General Glass Co. became a part of the Anchor Hocking Corp. He came to Lancaster with the company in 1931.
For the past four years, Mr. Dunnington had served as chairman of the traffic committee for the Glass Containers Manufacturers Institute, New York City.
A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the American Legion. While in Fairmont, W. Va., he was the Regimental Adjutant of the 201st Infantry, National Guard. During World War II, he served on the War Production Committee at Washington.
Surviving are his widow, Jessie; two daughters, Mrs. Paul Wessel, Lancaster, and Miss Mary Jo Dunnington of the home; three sons, Irvine L., Jr., Lancaster, Richard C. of the home, and Cpl. Robert A. Dunnington, stationed with the Marine Corps at Cherry Point, N.C.; five grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. D. S. Langell, Anderson, Ind., and Mrs. Henry Thompson, Johnstown, N.Y.; and one brother, R. H. Dunnington, Jr., Lancaster.
Arrangements are in charge of the Frank E. Smith funeral home. The body will be returning to Lancaster by train, arriving here Thursday.

Mrs. Jessie A. Dunnington, 74, of 315 N. Mt. Pleasant Ave. died Thursday about 2 p.m. at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Paul Wessel, 350 E. Chestnut St.
The widow of Irvin Dunnington leaves another daughter, Mrs. Gene Evans, Lancaster; 3 sons, I. L. Dunnington, Lancaster, A.I.C. Robert A. Dunnington, Dyees Air Force Base, Tex., Richard E. Dunnington, Dunbar, W. Va.; 21 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Alpha Senior Circle OCCL and First Methodist Church.
Funeral, Saturday 3 p.m., Sheridan Funeral Home, Rev. George W. Herd officiating; burial, Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at Sheridan's.
