Mrs. Emma L. GIbbons, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph F. Gibbons, Hanover R. D. 4, and Richard M. Rhodes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Rhodes, Hanover R. D. 6, were married Saturday evening at 7:30 o'clock in the West Manheim Reformed parsonage, Pleasant street, by the Rev. E. M. Sando. The ring ceremony of the Reformed church was performed. The couple will live at the home of the bride for the present.

Richard Myers Rhodes

HAGERSTOWN — Richard Myers Rhodes, 74, 106 West Side Avenue, Funkstown, Md. died Tuesday at Washington City Hospital, Hagerstown.

Born in Hanover, he was a son of Clinton and Roberta Myers Rhodes. He was employed by Western Maryland Railroad for 40 years and had been active in farming.

He was a member of St. Paul (Dubs) Church, Hanover, and member of the Woodmen of the World.

Surviving are his wife, Emma L. Gibbons Rhodes, five daughters: Arlene Moser, Keedysville, Md., Kathryn Rohrer, Rohrersville, Md., Helene Rhodes, at home, Patricia R. Frush, Delores Warner, Hagerstown; one sister, Ethel Hoffacker, Hanover; six brothers, Clinton Rhodes, Gettysburg, Paul Bernell and Dale Rhodes, Hanover, and Donald and Robert Rhodes from Hagerstown; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown with the Rev. C. Larry Fisher officiating.

Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

HAGERSTOWN, Md. — Emma Lettie Rhodes, 75, of 106 S. West Side Ave., Funkstown, Md., died Thursday, Sept. 5, 1985, at Washington County Hospital. She was the widow of Richard M. Rhodes, who died in May 1983.

Born in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Boyer Gibbons.

She was a member of St. Paul's (Dubs) Reformed Church, Hanover.

Surviving are five daughters: Patricia R. Frush and Mrs. Dolores Warner, both of Hagerstown, Md.; Helene Rhodes, at home; Mrs. Arlene Moser, Fairplay, Md.; and Mrs. Kathryn Rohrer, Rohrersville, Md.; 14 grandchildren; 17 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Senft, Mrs. Edna Thoman and Mrs. Eva Goodling, all of York; and two brothers, George Gibbons, Dundalk, Md.; and John Gibbons, Hanover.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, Md., with the Rev. C. Richard Masters officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
