Wendell V. Hall, Engineer, Dies

SANTA FE (PA) — Wendell V. Hall, a long time surveyor and engineer for the federal government and a Santa Fe resident since 1899, died Friday at the age of 87.

Born at Jefferson, Ind., he was graduated from Wabash College in 1892 and then taught school in Indiana and Illinois for seven years.

He had served as Santa Fe city engineer and county surveyor. He also spent years with the government's general land office, retiring from federal service in 1931. He continued in private practice until recent years.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Robert I. Hoobler of Ellsworth, Ill., and two sons, Wendell of Santa Fe, and John of Takoma Park, Md., also several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The Memorial Chapel said services have been set tentatively for 10 a. m. Monday, either from the chapel or the Methodist Church, with burial to be here.
