MALTA BEND — Lawrence M. Houston, 64, Malta Bend, died Tuesday at the home. He was a lifelong Saline County., Mo., resident. Mr. Houston was a farmer. He was a member of the Malta Bend United Methodist Church and Trilumina Masonic Lodge, Marshall, Mo. He attended Missouri Valley College, Marshall. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Ferol Houston of the home; two sons, Dr. Lawrence M. Houston II, Leawood, and Dr. Gregory C. Houston, Kansas City; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ann Mull, Malta Bend, and Mrs. Virginia Helmstetter, Kansas City; and a grandson. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church; burial in the Malta Bend Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the church.
