Sewell-Houston

Dr. Frank Houston of Lees Summit and Miss Dorothy Houston were married at the country home of the bride near Malta Bend Thursday, April 28, at 7:30 p. m. The ceremony was performed by Rev. DuBois, pastor of the Methodist church of Malta Bend.

The wedding was a very quiet but pretty one, witnessed by the immediate families of the bride and groom and a few close friends.

Preceding the wedding Mrs. Percy Houston sang, "O Promise Me." To the strains of the wedding march played by Miss Abinade Fulton, a cousin of the bride, the wedding party with Mr. Percy Houston brother of the bride as best man and Mrs. Rice Gunn, sister of the bride as matron of honor, entered the ceremony room.

The bride wore a lovely gown of grey canton crepe with a corsage and bouquet of Lillies of the Valley and roses.

After congratulations the guests were preceded to the dining room by the bridal party, where a lovely lunch was served.

After a short eastern wedding trip the bride and groom will be at home to friends in Lees Summit.

The bride's going away suit was blue tricotine with hat and gloves to harmonize.

The guests from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Rice Gunn of Kansas City, Miss Sybil Sewell of Indiana, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Harbert of Lexington.
