Cleveland Leader, June 27, 19122837
Beautiful in its simplicity was the home wedding of Miss Myrtle Spencer, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. George Warren Spencer, 2196 E. 100th street, to Mr. Edward Gregory Lee, of Hudson, O., solemnized last evening at 7:30 o'clock, by Rev. A. A. Knight. The bride wore a soft clinging gown of white embroidered voile over white silk with shower bouquet of roses and lilies of the valley. Her only attendants were little Sarah Louise and Muriel Spencer, as flower girls. The house was decorated with peonies and sweet peas. The ceremony was performed before a background of palms and peonies arranged on tall standards before the mantel in the living room. Rustic baskets of sweet peas and vases of peonies trimmed the library and dining room, in which the wedding supper was served. The windows and doorways throughout the house were garlanded in huckleberry vine, interspersed with pink roses.
The bridal table, at which twenty-five guests were seated, was adorned by a centerpiece of pink peonies and maidenhair fern. After a short wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Lee will be at home in Hudson, O.
