LEE-WHITEMORE

The marriage of James Dewitt Lee and Miss Ora Whitemore was solemnized on Wednesday evening at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Whitemore, of Spadra, by Rev. J. R. Yost. While the wedding march was being played by a young sister of the groom the young couple entered accompanied by Miss Edna Lee as bridesmaid, and Eugene Garner as groomsman. After the ceremony a sumptuous repast was served. Besides those mentioned there were present, the family of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Lee of Lemon and Mrs. J. R. Yost of Pomona.

Mr. and Mrs. Lee will make their home at Lemon.

Lottie Lee

COVELO—Funeral services will be held at the Covel Federated Church at 2 Sunday for Mrs. Lottie Lee who died at a Langley, British Columbia, hospital Thursday following a coronary thrombosis. She was 80 years old.

Mrs. Lee is survived by her husband, James D. Lee, who with Mrs. Lee had gone to Langley to attend the funeral of her sister.

The Rev. Robert Lloyd Thomas will officiate at the services and Augusta Chapter No. 80, Order of Eastern Star, of which she was a member, will conduct memorial services.

Mrs. Lee was also newly-elected president of Martin Haydon Unit 759, of the American Legion auxiliary.

Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery, Covelo.

Anker Mortuary, Willits, is in charge of arrangements.

Lee Rites Tomorrow at Covelo

COVELO —Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Covelo Presbyterian Church for James D. Lee, who died Sunday at a Ukiah hospital at the age of 89.

A former chaplin for Martin Hayden Post No. 705, American Legion, Lee had been a Round Valley resident for the past 30 years. He was a native of Kansas.

He is survived by his wife, Jean, and by a step-daughter, Alta Moore, both of Covelo, by a brother, Arthur Lee of Pomona, and by two sisters, Florence Persons of Pomona and Kathleen Combs of Asperia. Four grandchildren and a great-grandchild also survive.

Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery with the graveside services under the auspices of the American Legion.

Anker-Lucier Mortuary, Willits, is in charge of arrangements.
