Lucille Peterson and Henry Mannes Wed at Colton

Colton, May 28.—A wedding took place at the home of Mrs. Ruth Peterson at Brandon Sunday afternoon when her daughter, Lucille, became the bride of Henry Mannes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Mannes also of Brandon. The ceremony was performed by Rev. C. Johnson of Brandon. The home was decorated with lilacs, larkspur and other flowers in the bride's chosen colors, powder blue and dusty rose. The bride wore powder blue and her attendant who was her sister, Mrs. Bernie Graff wore dusty rose. Both carried bouquets of snapdragons, larkspur and baby mums and roses. The bridegroom was attended by Bernie Graff. Miss Phyliss Peterson, sister of the bride, played Lohengrin's wedding march.

The bride's mother wore medium blue with a corsage of sweetpeas and baby mums. The bridegroom's mother who wore green, had a corsage of sweetpeas and baby mums.

After the ceremony a luncheon was served to 40 guests. The bride's table was decorated with lighted candles and nut cups with a wedding cake wreathed in smilax.

Both bride and bridegroom are graduates of Brandon high school. They are to make their home in Sioux Falls where Mr. Mannes is employed by John Morrell and company.

Out of town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Peterson and Miss Esther Colton of Colton; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Todnem and children of Mankato, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Dan Peterson and children, Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Graff and children and Miss Della Arndt, all of Sioux Falls.
