Nadine Ethel Sherwin

NADINE ETHEL SHERWIN, daughter of MINNIE N. MILLER and EDWIN RICHMOND SHERWIN, was born June 24, 1912 in Oklahoma,⁴⁵⁶ and died January 8, 1992 in Stanislaus County, California.²⁵⁰ She is buried in Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, Beckham, Oklahoma.⁴⁵⁶

She married (1) ROBERT MILTON HOPKINS on April 21, 1940 in University Place Church.⁹⁹⁵⁸ He was born March 26, 1911 in Paris, Bourbon, Kentucky,⁴⁵⁶ and died June 13, 1994 in Hopkinsville, Christian, Kentucky.⁴⁵⁶ He is buried in Paris Cemetery, Bourbon County, Kentucky.⁴⁵⁶

She married (2) LEONARD G. CASADA on October 19, 1980 in Stanislaus County, California.⁸⁴

Sherwin-Hopkins Wedding

Of interest in University circles was the wedding of Miss Nadine Sherwin, Phillips graduate and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Sherwin, Elk City, to Mr. Robert M. Hopkins, Jr., son of Dr. and Mrs. Robert M. Hopkins, Indianapolis, Indiana, Sunday afternoon, April 21, at University Place Church. The vows were read by Dr. G. Edwin Osborn, with Dr. T. H. McDowell, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, assisting.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore pure white wedding ring satin with a full circular skirt falling into a short train, and a fingertip tulle veil edged with lace. She carried a white Bible with sweet peas and white satin ribbons falling in shower effect.

Following a reception at the Archer home, 2001 East Randolph, the couple left on a wedding trip to St. Louis and Indianapolis. Upon their return Mr. Hopkins will resume his work as state director of religious education for the Christin Church, while Mrs. Hopkins will continue her study for her M. A. degree. The couple will be at home at 1415 East Randolph.
