MRS. EMANUEL STAMBAUGH
Mrs. Emanuel Stambaugh died early Saturday morning at her home in Jackson township, three miles south of Blain. She died in childbirth. Mrs. Stambaugh had not been well for some time, being afflicted with dropsy. She was about as usual the day before and pared apples for applebutter until nine o'clock Friday night. By the next morning she was a corpse. Her death is a very sad one, as she leaves twelve children, eight boys and four girls, besides her husband to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate wife and mother. She will be greatly missed in the home circle.
Mrs. Stambaugh was aged 45 years. She was a daughter of the late James D. and Catherine Rhea, of Toboyne township. The following brothers and sisters survive: William F. Rhea, of Mt. Joy, Lancaster county, Mary, (Mrs. D. E. Book) of Jackson township, this county; Rebecca, (Mrs. C. M. Rhinesmith) of Dallas, Iowa; Marshall and Luther Rhea, of Toboyne township; Lizzie, (Mrs. E.L.
