Sidney Wallace Rites Held in Modesto

MODESTO OFFICE, STOCKTON RECORD, March 9—Funeral services were held her today for Sidney Grant Wallace, 75, Tracy, formerly of Modesto, who died Friday after a brief illness. He also lived in Patterson, where he operated a hotel.

Wallace was a native of Illinois. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Ridgley Lodge of Odd Fellows, Los Gatos and Golden State Rebekah Lodge, Modesto. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Jessie Wallace; a daughter, Mrs. D. R. Wigginton, and a grandson, Robert Wigginton, all of Tracy.

The Rev. W. R. Baird officiated. Committal was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Modesto.

Services Conducted For Mrs. J. Wallace

Mrs. Jessie Viola Wallace, 78, passed away in Saratoga Tuesday, Dec. 15. She was the wife of the late Grant Wallace; mother of Mrs. Pearl Wigginton of Tracy; grandmother of Robert Wigginton; great-grandmother of Craig Wigginton; sister-in-law of Ora McDermott of Modesto.

She was a member of the Golden State Rebekah Lodge No. 110 of Modesto; Neighbors of Woodcraft, Modesto Circle; and the First Christian church. She was a native of San Jose.

Funeral services were held today at 2 o'clock from the Franklin-Sovern and Downs Funeral Home in Modesto, Calif. Interment was at the IOOF cemetery, Modesto.
