Richard Knudsen And Miss Kern Wed in Missouri
DWIGHT.—(PNS)—Miss Wanda Kern, only daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur P. Kern of Dwight and Richard Knudsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Knudsen of Pontiac, were married July 24 in the Methodist parsonage at Palmyra, Mo. The Rev. Henry W. Eisenberg performed the double ring ceremony. The couple was unattended.
The bride wore a grey dressmaker's suit, a large picture hat of black straw and black accessories. Her flowers were a corsage of gardenias and red roses. Her only jewelry was a single strand of pearls, a gift of the bridegroom.
Mr. and Mrs. Knudsen returned to Dwight after the ceremony and today will leave on a two weeks' wedding trip to Denver, Colo. They will be at home at 327 West Delaware street, Dwight, after Aug. 15.
Mrs. Knudsen graduated from Dwight Township High school with the class of 1939, is employed as a clerk at the Royal Blue store. Mr. Knudsen, a veteran of World War II, is employed by the Charles Sacks Produce company in Pontiac.

Wanda Knudsen
DWIGHT — Wanda Knudsen, 92, formerly of Dwight, passed away Friday (March 28, 2014) in Redlands, Calif.
She was born in Dwight on July 16, 1921, and spent most of her life in Dwight, but moved to Redlands, Calif., 15 years ago to be closer to her family.
Wanda married the late Richard Knudsen on July 24, 1947.
She leaves behind her daughter, Kathy (Charley) Bennett, and sons, Doug (Andrea) Knudsen and Rick (Ann) Knudsen. Wanda was a loving grandmother to Michelle, Kim, Nicole, Lauren, Matthew and Kyle; and a great-grandmother to Olivia, Dominic, Zola and Ceylon.
Wanda was a longtime employee of the Bank of Dwight.
A summer service will be held in Dwight.
