PONTIAC. —(PNS)—In a 2 o'clock ceremony Saturday afternoon, Nov. 13, Miss Dorothy Mae Grove, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Grove of near Odell, became the bride of Roberg James Knudsen, son or Mr. and Mrs. Harry Knudsen of Pontiac. The Rev. A. Brabson Morrow performed the wedding service at the Presbyterian church parsonage in Pontiac.
Miss Helen Grove of Odell, sister of the bride, and H. Weston Bridges of Pontiac, attended the couple.
Following the wedding a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. The table had a three-tier centerpiece which was cut by the bridegroom's sister, Miss Helen Knudsen. Mrs. Donald Bressner and Mrs. Richard tinker, also sisters of the bridegoom assisted in serving. Mrs. Carrie Allen of Odell poured.
The couple left later for a wedding trip to Chicago and Wisconsin. For traveling the bride wore a three piece suit of sapphire blue with black accessories and her rose corsage.
The former Miss Grove was graduated from Odell High school in 1941. She operates Dorothy's Beauty Shoppe in Bloomington. Her husband was graduated from Pontiac High school in 1942 and is employed in the office of Great States Life Insurance company in Bloomington. He served in the navy three years.
The couple will make their home in Bloomington.

Visitation for Dorothy M. Knudsen, 83, of Bourbonnais, will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the Bourbonnais Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Wesley United Methodist Church, Bradley, where she was an active member. Rev. Tom Wilber will officiate. She died Thursday (Jan. 4, 2007) at Riverside Medical Center, Kankakee.
Burial will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Rt. 53, Elwood.
Mrs. Knudsen was a retired beautician. She was born Sept. 15, 1923, in Fairfield, the daughter of Richard and Annie Cunningham Grove. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Knudsen Sr., whom she married Nov. 13, 1948, in Pontiac; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Jr. and Paula Knudsen of Lancaster, Ky., William and Margareth Knudsen of Palatine; four daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Charles Matesi Jr. of New Lenox, Janet and Paul Graham of Minooka, Sandra and Mark Gravlin of Bourbonnais, Connie and Carl Reum of Gibson City; nine grandchildren, Amanda Carnes (Gravlin), Lindsay Arseneau (Gravlin), Ryan Gravlin, Heather Reum, Charles Matesi III, Hayley Graham, Ashley Reum, Raymond Graham, and Chelsea Knudsen; two great-grandchildren, Mia Arseneau and Molly Carnes; one sister, Helen and Gordie Bammann of San Benito, Texas; two brothers, Richard and Dorothy Grove, Robert and Helen Grove, all of Odell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deceased are her parents and two sisters, Stella Frey and Elsie Cooper.
