Wednesday afternoon at 5 o'clock in the marriage parlors, Justice Hendryx officiated at the wedding of Miss Carrie V. Street, of Pontiac, and Mr. Harper R. Moreland, of near Secor. They were accompanied by a number of friends, and after a short honeymoon trip, will go to housekeeping on a farm near Secor adjoining that of the groom's father.
This wedding was of more than ordinary interest to Justice Hendryx, owing to the fact that thirty-five years ago, he united in marriage the father and mother of the groom, and eight years ago he officiated at the wedding of the groom's brother, Mr. Homer Moreland, also of Woodford county.

SECOR — (PNS) — Harper Richard Moreland, 70, died at 6:30 p. m. Tuesday at his home. He had been in ill health for the past year and bedfast for a week.
He was taken to the Vincent Memorial Home in El Paso. Arrangements are incomplete.
He was born Sept. 26, 1881, near Secor, a son of Adam and Carolyn Howard Moreland. He married Miss Carrie Street in Bloomington in 1909.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter Mrs. Julia Felkamp, Padua; four sons, Gaylord and Virgil, Bloomington; Kenneth, McLean and Richard of Decatur; six brothers, Homer, Secor; Harve and Ray of Peoria; Leslie, Eureka; James, Gramont; Perry, El Paso; a sister, Mrs. Sadie Gossmeyer, El Paso and 10 grandchildren.
He was a member of the Secor Christian Church.

Mrs. Carrie Moreland, 76, of Nel-Dor Arms Nursing Home, died at 11:07 p.m. Wednesday at Mennonite Hospital. She had been a patient since Tuesday.
Mrs. Moreland was taken to the Vincent Memorial Home in El Paso pending arrangements.

Mrs. Carrie Viola Moreland, 76, formerly of Secor, died at 11:07 p.m. April 15 at the Mennonite Hospital, Bloomington, where she had been a patient for one day.
Funeral services were held Saturday with the Rev. Richard Chrisman officiating. Burial was in Secor Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 8, 1887, in Pontiac, a daughter of Chauncey G. and Julia Garrett Street. She married Richard Moreland in Bloomington in October, 1909.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Julia Young of Ellsworth; three sons, Gaylord L. of Bloomington; Virgil of Tucson, Ariz., and Kenneth of McLean; three sisters, Mrs. Della Conrad of Mackinaw; Mrs. Ed Bruder of LaCrosse, Ind., and Mrs. Harry Stang of Pontiac; 12 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
A son, three brothers, and two sisters, and her husband preceded her in death.
