MRS. LOTTIE S. BOWERS DIES AT FAMILY HOME

Mrs. Lottie S. Bowers, 72, wife of O. P. Bowers, died at 6:30 o'clock yesterday morning at the family home, one-half mile south of Oakville, after an extended illness. She had been a resident of Henry County for twenty-three years.

Surviving are the husband, one daughter, Mrs. Harry M. Chaddock of Muncie; a son, H. Reid Bowers of Delaware County; one sister, Mrs. Alice R. Monroe, of Sacramento, Cal.; three grandsons and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Meeks mortuary, 322 east Washington street, at 2 o'clock (DST) Saturday afternoon. Dr. W. S. Steckel, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, and the Rev. Mr. King, pastor of Oakville Brethren' Church, in charge. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after noon Friday.

Oliver P. Bowers, 82, Dies; Prominent Farmer

Oliver Perry Bowers, 82, prominent farmer of Monroe Township, died unexpectedly early Tuesday, afternoon, at the residence of his son H. Reid Bowers, R. F. D. Muncie. The son of Jacob and Rebecca Sharp Bowers, he was born in Delaware County and spent his entire life here. Mr. Bowers was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Muncie and of the I. O. O. F.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Harry Chaddock, Muncie; the son; a sister, Mrs. J. E. Winchester, of California; one brother, M. M. McKimmey, Indianapolis; three grandsons and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held at the Meeks mortuary at 3:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon and interment will follow in the family plot at Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from to 6 o'clock and from 7 to 9 o'clock Wednesday afternoon and any time before the services Thursday.
