PARENTS LEARN OF WEDDING

James T. Elwell, Jr. Takes Bride to Farm and Then Explains

James T. Elwell, Jr., and Miss Sophie Sjoberg were married Tuesday in what appeared like an elopement. The couple secured a marriage license, and, after being married, went to the farm of young Elwell at Forest Lake. Today word was sent to the parents of the groom, Senator and Mrs. James T. Elwell of Southeast Minneapolis.

Although the marriage was a surprise to the bridegroom's father, Senator Elwell says that the couple had been going together for some time and he saw nothing very strange in their desire to slip away and have a quiet wedding.
