Elwell-Bean

The wedding of Miss Agnes L. Bean, the daughter of Mrs. G. O. Bean, to Alden E. Elwell, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James T. Elwell, took place Wednesday evening at 8:30 o'clock at the home of the bride's mother, 1815 Como avenue southeast. Rev. H. K. Painter officiated in the presence of about forty-five relatives and intimate friends.

The ceremony was performed in the living room before the large plate window, which was basked with peonies and syringas. There were no attendants. The bride wore a gown of white brocaded satin and she held a shower bouquet of lilies of the valley. Her ornament was a pearl pin, the gift of the bridegroom.

Following the ceremony a buffet supper was served and the assisting girls were the Misses Elizabeth Smith, Cosette Drow, Laura Loose, Ethel Smith, and Ruth, Elizabeth and Mary Elwell. In the dining room, dark red roses were the centerpiece and were used about the room, and in the reception room pink peonies and syringas were the flowers.

Mr. Elwell and his bride have gone on a western trip for six weeks and will be at home after Aug. 1 at 1815 Como avenue. Mr. Elwell is a graduate of the department of law at the university of this year's class and he belongs to Delta Chi fraternity. The bride was in her junior year at the university and is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta.
