Easter lilies and palms formed the setting for the marriage ceremony of Miss Elizabeth Elwell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James T. Elwell, to Howard N. Weigel, son of Dr. and Mrs. Charles Weigel, which took place last evening at 8 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, 945 Fourteenth av SE. Dr. H. K. Painter officiated in the presence of about 150 guests. The vows were spoken in the living room before an altar of greenery, lilies and cathedral candles. Pink and white roses were used in the other rooms. White satin ribbons were stretched by two little cousins of the bride, Priscilla Morse and Virginia Grimes, who wore frocks of white. Miss Ruth Elwell was her sister's maid of honor. She wore a gown of rose color crepe meteor, with iridescent trimming, and held pink roses. Miss Mary Elwell, another sister of the bride was bridesmaid. Her gown was of pink charmeuse draped in orchid shade Georgette crepe, and her flowers were pink roses. Little Carolyn Cook, a niece of the bride, in a white dress, carried the ring in a calla lily. Two little flower girls, nieces of the bride dressed in white and carrying baskets of blossoms, preceded the bride. They were Jane Oswald Elwell and Evelyn Elwell.
The bride entered with her father. She wore a gown of white Georgette crepe fashioned en traine. The bodice was cut decollete and trimmed with pearls. Her tulle veil hung from a crown of lace and pearls and she held a shower bouquet of lilies of the valley and bride roses. L. C. Boss was Mr. Weigel's best man. Herbert Elwell played the wedding music and Bryant Sanford sang. Mr. Weigel and his bride will be at home after June 1 at 4003 Tenth av S. The bride is a graduate of the University of Minnesota class of 1914, and is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. Mr. Weigel is a graduate of the University of Minnesota in 1914 and 1915, and is a member of Tau Beta Pi, the honorary engineering society.

A family reunion will be a "welcome home" form Mr. and Mrs. Eduard Grosse (Ruth Weigel), who have lived in Germany the last five years.
Mrs. Grosse is a daughter of Mrs. Howard N. Weigel, 124 Prospect avenue. Her husband, to whom she was married in 1951, is from Berlin. He received his master's degree in economics at University of Minnesota and his doctor's degree at Free University of Berlin.
Another of Mrs. Weigel's daughters arrived Tuesday with her husband from La Jolla, Calif., for the reunion. They are Mr. and Mrs. Edwin H. Wrench. Patricia Weigel, also from La Jolla, is spending the summer here. Mr. and Mrs. Richard B. Weigel will arrive today from Des Moines, Iowa.
Mrs. Howard Weigel wll be hostess at open house Sunday at her home, 4 to 8 p.m., in honor of the visitors. No invitations have been sent.

Funeral services for Howard Nelson Weigel, 42 years old, and an engineer in the employ of the Minneapolis Moline Power and Implement Company for 25 years, who died yesterday in Asbury hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Lakewood chapel, with Dr. Harry F. Dewey of Plymouth Congregational church officiating. Mr. Weigel lived at 124 Prospect avenue. He was a member of Plymouth church and of the Grafil Club. A graduate of the University of Minnesota in 1914, he was a member of Tau Beta Pi fraternity. Born at Anamosa, Iowa, he came to Minneapolis 30 years ago. Surviving are his wife, two sons, Robert and Richard; four daughters, Elizabeth, Marian, Patricia and Ruth, and his father, Dr. Charles Weigel.
