Paul E. Hoke Sr.

Paul E. Hoke Sr., 74, of 472 West Philadelphia street, a retired employe of Oliver corporation, died Saturday at 8:10 a.m. at his home.

Born in Nashville, York county, he was the son of the late George and Amanda Stambaugh Hoke. He was a member of St. Paul's (Wolf's) United Church of Christ and that Sunday school.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Stella Baker Hoke; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph W. Glass Jr., Lancaster; two sons, Paul E. Hoke Jr. of 48 Ridgeway drive, and Marlin C. Hoke of 9 Ridgeway drive; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Gibbs of York and Mrs. ELizabeth Slagle of Nashville; and two brothers, Harry Hoke of Spring Grove and Samuel Hoke of 35 East Cottage place.

The funeral will be tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. from William E. Little Funeral home, 622 Linden avenue with burial in St. Paul's (Wolf's) Union cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Donald W. Schlicher, pastor of St. Paul's church.

Mrs. Stella J. Hoke

Mrs. Stella J. Hoke, 472 W. Philadelphia St., widow of Paul E. Hoke, died Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at York Hospital. She was 79.

Mrs. Hoke was born in York County, daughter of the late Jacob K. and Emma Becker Baker. She was a member of St. Paul's (Wolf's) United Church of Christ, near Bair.

Surviving are three children, Mrs. Joseph W. Glass, Lancaster; Paul E. Hoke Jr., 2015 White St., and Marlin C. Hoke, 9 Ridgeway Drive; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Richard Benner, her pastor, will officiate at funeral services Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Heffner Funeral Home, 1701 W. Market St. Burial will be in St. Paul's (Wolf's) Church Cemetery.

The family suggest contributions may be made to the memorial fun of St. Paul's (Wolf's) Church.
