Carrie M. Leary

Carrie McLaughlin Leary, 92, formerly of Dayton, died Oct. 10, 1991, at Camelot Hall Nursing Home in Harrisonburg, where she had lived since 1986.

Mrs. Leary was born May 2, 1899, at Dayton and was a daughter of the late William H. and Gertrude Pollard McLaughlin.

She lived most of her life in Dayton and was a member of Dayton United Methodist Church.

In 1923, she married Statton H. Leary, who died in June 1944.

Surviving area a son, Hubert E. Leary of Harrisonburg; a daughter, Betty Miller of Hendersonvilla, N.C.; a sister, Fleta Long of Winchester; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Dr. Floyd J. Winfield Jr. will conduct the funeral at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kyger and Trobaugh Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. Burial will be at Dayton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 7:30-8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Friends also may call at Hubert Leary's home, 1408 Crawford Ave., Harrisonburg.
