MRS. WM. McLAUGHLIN LAID TO REST AT DAYTON

Dayton, Jan. 3.—The Dayton community suffered a severe loss last week in the passing of Mrs. Gertrude E. McGlaughlin, wife of William M. McGlaughlin, who died last Thursday after a long illness.

Funeral services were held from the Dayton United Brethren Church, her pastor, Rev. A. L. Malden, assisted by Rev. A. S. Hammack, officiating.

Besides her husband, she leaves six children—Mrs. Fleta Long, of Dayton, Mrs. Carrie M. Leary, of Clarendon, Va.; Mrs. Gertrude E. Baker, of Welch, W. Va.; and Hunter, Woodrow and Clyde McGlaughlin, of Dayton.

DAYTON, VA., May 7—A funeral service for William H. McLaughlin, 86, who died Sunday at his home, was held Tuesday at the chapel of the Rosenberger Funeral Home in Bridgewater, Va. Burial was in the Dayton, Va., cemetery. Surviving him are the following children: Hunter McLaughlin, Mrs. Carrie Leary, of Dayton; Mrs. D. F. Long, Mrs. R. T. Baker, Woodrow McLaughlin, of Winchester; Clyde McLaughlin, of Richmond, and the following sisters, Mrs. Annie E. Coakley, of Washington; Mrs. Luetta Miller, of Bridgewater; Mrs. Katie Cline, of Harrisonburg, and Miss Carey McLaughlin, of Harrisonburg; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
