Miss Letha Lowry and William Moore were married Thursday evening at the home of Thomas Howren, in Newcastle. Mr. Moore is a prominent Rush county farmer. The bride has been one of the most popular young ladies in Knightstown. For some time she was the assistant postmaster in the local office, but of late has been employed in the Charles dry goods store as a clerk. She was always affable and accommodating. The best wishes of a host of friends go with her.

William Moore, 83, a farmer of Ripley township, died Monday at his home in Carthage after a long illness due to infirmities.
He was born September 4, 1848 in Virginia, but came to Rush county as a child. He was married to Margaret Ellen Miller, who died in 1902. In 1904 he was married to Letha Lowry.
In addition to the widow who survives, he is also survived by twelve children by the first marriage and one by the last. Another child died at the age of nine. Those surviving are Bertha Pollit, Sanford Moore, Andy Moore, Mary Collins, all of Rushville; Jane Nigh, James Moore, of Arlington; Abe Moore, Anderson; Isaac Moore, Wilkinson; Charles Moore, Morristown; Garland Moore, Greensfield; Sam Moore, Spiceland, and Ira Moore, Knightstown, by the first wife, and Ruth Ellen Moore.
The deceased is also survived by three brothers, Joseph, Washington, Ind.; Samuel, Arlington, and Andrew of Rushville. Mr. Moore was a member of the Carthage Methodist church.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the Arlington Methodist church in charge of the Rev. Rader.

William Moore, age 83, passed away at his home here on Monday at 12 o'clock, after a long illness. He came from Virginia to Indiana when a child and lived on a farm before moving to Carthage. His first wife was Mary Ellen Miller, who died in 1902. Fourteen children were born to this union. One is deceased. In 1904 he was married to Letha Lowry. Those who survive besides the widow are: Mrs. Bertha Pollitt, Sanford and Andy Moore and Mrs. Mary Collins, Rushville; Mrs. Jane Nigh and James Moore, Arlington; Isaac Moore, of Wilkinson; Charles, of Morristown; Garland, of Greenfield; Samuel, of Spiceland; Ira, of Knightstown, and Mrs. Ruth Ellen McNicholl, a daughter by the second marriage, at home. Also three brothers survive: Joseph, of Washington, Ind.; Samuel, of Arlington, and Andrew, of Rushville. Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist Church in Arlington on Wednesday at 2 o'clock by Rev. W. S. Rader, pastor of the Fletcher M. E. Church of Carthage, where the deceased was a member, and burial was at Arlington.

Mrs. Letha Moore, 84, resident of Carthage and widow of William Moore, died Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Scott Nursing Home in Pendleton. She suffered a broken hip a few weeks ago.
The deceased was born at Knightstown March 10, 1869, a daughter of George and Ruth Scott Lowry and at one time was employed at the Knightstown post office.
Mrs. Moore made her home in Carthage with her daughter, Mrs. George Jones and family.
Other survivors include three step daughters, Mrs. Bertha Pollitt and Mrs. Mary Collins of Rushville and Mrs. Earl Nigh of near Carthage; six stepsons, Sanford and Andrew Moore of Rushville, Samuel of Lewisville, Garland of Greenfield, James of Arlington and Ira of Knightstown.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 o'clock at the Thompson Funeral Home in Carthage with Dr. J. T. Scull and the Rev. Dean Coy officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington East Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at any time.

Mrs. Letha Moore, 84, died at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Scott Nursing home, Pendleton. She lived for many years at Carthage and was the former Letha Lowry of Knightstown, before her marriage to William Moore, Arlington, who preceded her in death.
The deceased was employed in the Knightstown postoffice for severall years and later with the John Charles Dry Goods store, where the P. N. Hirsch company is now located.
Surviving are the daughter Ruth Ellen Jones, Pendleton; three step-daughters, Mrs. Bertha Pollett, and Mrs. Mary Collins, both of Rushville, and Mrs. Earl Nigh, R. R. 1, Carthage; six step-sons, Sanford Moore and Andrew Moore, Rushville, Samuel Moore, Lewisville, Ira Moore, Knightstown, Garland Moore, Greenfield, James Moore, Arlington; two grandchildren; and two nephews, including Charles W. Lowry of Knightstown.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fletcher Methodist church, Carthage, with burial in East Hill cemetery, Arlington. Dr. John T. Scull, retired Rushville minister, and Rev. Dean Coy, Carthage, will officiate. The Thompson Funeral home, Carthage, is in charge of the funeral, and friends may call at the funeral home preceding the funeral.
