The fine residence of J. O. Risser, an Adel dry goods merchant, was consumed by fire. The orig[i]n of the fire is not known, but it is supposed to have been a spark falling on the roof. A large part of the contents of the house were saved, and the house itself was well insured. Mr. Risser will doubtless rebuild in the spring.
