WABASH (Spl.)—Funeral rites for Mrs. Ernest Alexander, 68, 468 N. Spring St., will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hoover-Miner Funeral Home and burial will be in Falls Cemetery.
Mrs. Alexander died Tuesday morning in Wabash County Hospital.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Robert, Wabash; a sister, Mrs. Lloyd Chronister, Wabash, and three brothers, Benjamin Brabender, Elkhart, and Ludwig and Arthur Brabender, Indianapolis.

WABASH, Ind. (AP) — Ernest Alexander, 74, Wabash, burned in a nursing home Tuesday despite effort of three nurses' aids to save him, died Wednesday in Wabash County Hospital.
Police said Alexander dropped a cigarette and set fire to a blanket wrapped around him as he sat in a chair.
Mrs. Donna Friedersdorf, Mrs. Mildred Cassidy and Mrs. Arlene Stone suffered minor burns putting out the blaze in the Friendly Nursing Home with a fire extinguisher.
