Elmo G. Chamness

WARSAW — Elmo G. Chamness, 75, of 404 N. Parker St., died at 12:40 Friday in the Marion Veterans Hospital where he had been a patient for more than a year. He was born Mar. 21, 1894 in Huntington County. He lived in Warsaw for 25 years, coming from Wabash. He is survived by his widow Mary, whom he married on Sept. 15, 1920. Other survivors include two brothers and a sister. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Landis and Chamness Funeral Home in Warsaw with Rev. R. L. Reed officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Mrs. Mary A. Chamness

WARSAW — Services for Mrs. Mary A. Chamness, 83, of 404 N. Parker St., who died 7:20 p.m. Thursday at Mason Health Care Center, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Chamness Funeral Home of Warsaw. Rev. Richard Maurer, pastor of the Free Methodist Church of Winona Lake, of which she was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

She was born on July 31, 1898, in Wabash County. On Sept. 15, 1920, in Wabash, she married Elmo G. Chamness. He died Dec. 8, 1967. Surviving are a brother, Theodore Alexander of Lapeer, Mich. A sister and six others preceded her in death.
