DOOLEY POWERS

Mr. and Mrs. Ben Powers of Council Valley, announce the marriage of their daughter Alta to Mr. Carl Dooley of Cushing. The single ring ceremony took place at Norfolk December 1, at 8 o'clock, Leo Bowers officiating.

Mrs. J. G. Thomas, sister of the bride, acted as maid of honor. Mr. J. G. Thomas was best man.

The bride is a very popular young lady among the young people and is loved equally as well among the older people. For the affair Miss Powers wore a Dusty Rose Crepe Ensemble with black accessories.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dooley, and is a young business man of sterling qualities. Guests present were Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Thomas, Harold Thomas, Opal and Buddy Powers.

The young couple will make their home in Cushing where Mr. Dooley is employed by the Chevrolet Motor Company.

ROGERS — Carl T. Dooley, 87, of Rogers died Nov. 15, 2008, at his home. He was born June 1, 1921, in Cushing, Okla., to Henry J. and Susie Jane Reynolds. He worked as a dairyman. He moved to Rogers 29 years ago from Oklahoma. He was a member of Prairie Creek Garden Club and enjoyed tending his garden, fishing and crafts. He was preceded in death by his first wife, and son, Lonnie Dooley and two grandsons, Hank and Johnny. Survivors include his wife, Rosie of the home; his son, Tom Dooley and wife Linda of Cushing, Okla.; two stepsons, Gary Lane and wife Debbie of Walton, Okla., and Kenneth Lane and Gyda of Claremore, Okla.; two daughters, Connie Tate of Mannford, Okla., and Rosalea Davis and husband Dewey of Holiday Island; his sister, Betty Hoggatt of Cushing; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale or the American Cancer Society. No services are planned. Arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.10101
