DOVER Welton G. “Bud“ Miller, 76, passed away at 3:45 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2003 at his residence. He was the husband of Margaret J. (Cleary) Miller with whom he celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary on July 7, 2002. Mr. Miller was born on July 2, 1926 in Littlestown to the late Irvin W. and Jennie E. (Stambaugh) Miller. Mr. Miller was a farmer and also a self employed concrete contractor, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Viking Athletic Association, Hawks Gunning Club, AARP of York West Chapter #1578 and a social member of V.F.W. Post #8951. Besides his wife, Mr. Miller is survived by three step sons, Kenneth R., Dale A., and John D. Koons, all of York; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Irvin W. Miller, East Berlin and Glen R. Miller, Abbottstown; five sisters, Etta J. Pittenger, Madeline N. Tolbert and Mary A. Becker, all of York, Betty M. Baker and Frances M. Crumbling, both of Hanover; nieces and nephews. The service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. from the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh). Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, prior to the service. The Rev. Thomas D. Bellis, pastor of Paradise United Church of Christ, will be officiating. Final resting place will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the York Visiting Nurse Association, 218 E. Market St., York, PA 17403.
