Theophilus P. Stambaugh, 89, husband of Mrs. Clara E. Herman Stambaugh, 1404 W. Orange St., died Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at his home.
A son of the late Joseph and Emma Haar Stambaugh, he had retired 18 years ago from the McKay Co., after 36 years of service. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Jacobus, and Reliance Ambulance Club, and was a life membe of Reliance Fire Co.
Surviving also are a daughter, Mrs. Lester E. Bollinger, 1615 W. Philadelphia St.; a sistere, Mrs. Mellie May, 127 S. West St.; and two brothers, Harry E. Stambaugh, 1506 Stanton St., and Norman Stambaugh, East Berlin RD.
His minister, the Rev. M. Bruce Irwin, will officiate at the funeral Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Goodling Funeral Home, Seven Valleys. Burial will be in Salem Union Cemetery, Jacobus.

Clara E. Stambaugh, 94, of Homewood Retirement Center, Hanover, formerly of 1404 W. Orange St., died at 12:50 p.m. Monday at the home.She was the wife of the late Theophilus P. Stambaugh.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Robert M. Goodling Funeral Home, 62 Main St., Seven Valleys. Burial will be in Salem Union Cemetery, Jacobus. Viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Homewood Retirement Center, 11 York St., Hanover, 17331; or to Salem United Church of Christ, Jacobus, 17407.
Mrs. Stambaugh was born in York Township, the daughter of the late Jacob and Magdalene (Kornbau) Herman.
She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Jacobus.
Mrs. Stambaugh is survived by a daughter, Emma M. Bollinger, York; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter and a brother, Ezra Herman, of Homewood Retirement Center.
Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. Fred Walthour.

Viola M. Stambaugh, daughter of Theophalous and Clara Stambaugh, died yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the residence of her parents, 1404 Orange street, West York, after a brief illness due to scarlet fever. She was aged three years and is survived by her parents and a brother and sister, all at home. Private funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock, by Rev. E. T. Rhodes and interment made at Salem cemetery at Jacobus.
