SWIFT—At his home at Pleasant Hill, Monday, September 23, 1918, Charles A. Swift, at the age of 67 years, after a long illness.

The deceased is survived by his wife and three children, Frank H. Swift, in Canada, Alice F. Swift of Portland and Edward Y. Swift of Pleasant Hi.. Mr. Swift was a member of the Congregational church. Funeral services will be conducted at the Pleasant Hill cemetery Tuesday morning at 10:30 by Rev. A. M. Spangler.

MRS. C. A. SWIFT PASSES

HAD BEEN RESIDENT OF PLEASANT HILL FOR 30 YEARS

Mrs. C. A. Swift, who had resided at Pleasant Hill for 30 years, died at her home there yesterday at the age of 70 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Miss Alice Swift of Portland, Frank H. Swift of Portland, and Edward Y. Swift of Pleasant Hill; two sisters, Mrs. W. E. Hitchcock of India, where she is acting as a missionary, and Miss Mary Houston of Pleasant Hill, and one brother, A. F. Houston of Iowa.

Mrs. Swift was a member of the congregational church.

The funeral will be held at the Pleasant Hill cemetery Friday, at 10 a. m. Rev. W. A. Elkins will deliver the address. The Veatch cheapel [sic] has charge.
