Albert Waybright was born at Crab Bottom, Virginia, Sept. 15, 1857, and died at Ashland, Nebr., Sept. 4, 1929. He came west in 1879 to Plattsmouth, and later removed to Weeping Water to take charge of a mill, and after that to Ashland where he followed a similar occupation. Later the mill was combined with the light plant and he ran both until about five years ago.
He was married to Josephine Stambaugh, Oct. 17, 1891, at Ashland, Nebr., and to this union three children were born: John Waybright of Wessington Springs, S. D., Ralph W. Waybright of Ashland, Nebr., and Mrs. Herbert Sabin, of Node, Wyo.
Mr. Waybright was baptised in the Methodist church in infancy, and affiliated with the church. He was also a member of the Masonic order.
He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, three children, and on brother, Robert, of Crabbattom, Vr.
The funeral service was held at the home last Friday afternoon and was conducted by Rev. W. N. Wallis. A mixed quartet sang two numbers and Mrs. C. Crouse and Miss Bertha Crouse sang a duet.
The Masons attended the service in a body and also conducted the service at the grave. Burial was in the Ashland cemetery.

Funeral services were held at the Marcy Chapel Thursday afternoon, Oct. 23, for Mrs. Josephine Waybright, 90, who died Oct. 20 in Lincoln. She was the daughter of Joseph Stambaugh, first settler in the Ashland community in 1857.
Mrs. Warren Robinson sang "Abide With Me" and "Ivory Palaces," accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Howard Anderson. Pallbearers were Sam Rhotten, W. F. Sanders, Otis Ballou, and John Graham. Burial was in Ashland Cemetery.
Josephine Stambaugh, daughter of Joseph and Catherine Stambaugh, was born May 26, 1868, on their homestead just north of the present site of Ashland. She spent her whole life in this community, and completed the educational courses then available here.
On Oct. 5, 1891, she married Albert Waybright. He operated a water-powered grist mill and later an electric plant. He died Sept. 4, 1929.
Three children were born to them: John Waybright of Wessington Springs, S. D.; Ralph Waybright of Lincoln; and Mrs. Esther Sabin of Node, Wyo. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; by one brother, Randolph Stambaugh of Ashland; and many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Baptist church.
For some years Mrs. Waybright spent the summers at her home north of town and the colder months at the home of her son, Ralph, in Lincoln. She spent the summer of 1958 in Lincoln, also, and it was there she failed suddenly and was hospitalized for one day at Lincoln General hospital where death occurred Oct. 20.
