C. N. Blair died at his home two miles south of town, Monday morning, at 2:40 o'clock. Mr. Blair was an early settler, having located here in the 60's. He was a soldier in the civil war, and an earnest Christian man. He had a kind, gentlemanly manner and was loved by all who knew him. He has been a sufferer for a long time with a cancer of the stomach and his death has been expected. He died at the age of 63 years. He leaves a wife, two sons and three daughters to mourn the loss of a loving husband and father, and the community has lost in him a good friend and citizen. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Presbyterian church, of which he has been a member about 40 years and held the office of elder for a number of years. He was laid to rest in the Prairie Mound cemetery.

Mrs. Lamoille L. Blair, 84 years old, died last night at her home, 5411 Holmes street.
Mrs. Blair was born in Watertown, Ontario, Canada. As a child she went with her parents to Solomon, Kas., and later with her husband, Charles N. Blair, homesteaded a farm near there. After his death about twenty-one years ago she came to Kansas City.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Cameron L. Orr and Miss Harriet E. Blair, both of 5411 Holmes street, and Mrs. Nellie B. Streeter, Montrose hotel, and a son, Arthur M. Blair, Hurley, N. M. Mrs. Blair was an aunt of David E. Blair of St. Louis, former justice of the Missouri supreme court.
Funeral services and burial will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday in Solomon.
