Mr. Henry B. Irvine passed away at his home here Friday, October 15 about 9:30 p. m. Mr. Irvine recently passed his eighty-third milestone. He had been in failing health for some time, but was not confined to his room until a few days before his death. Funeral services were conducted at Mt. Carmel Church Monday afternoon by the Rev. Tom Harris and the remains were laid to rest at Mt. Carmel cemetery. He leaves to mourn his loss, his widow, six children, Mrs. J. H. Rucker, Blackwater; Mr. Ben Irvine of California; Mrs. Ethel Irvine of California; Marshall Irvine of Kansas; Bob Irvine, Baltimore, Md., and Miss Elizabeth Irvine Hutcherson, Kas., several grandchildren beside other relatives and a host of friends.

Mrs. J. H. Rucker received a message Saturday morning telling of the death of her mother, Mrs. Henry B. Irvine, Friday night at the home of Mrs. Giles H. Smith, San Diego, Calif. Funeral arrangements await the remains, which will reach Marshall probably Tuesday. Burial will be beside her husband at Fairville Cemetery near Marshall. Mrs. Irvine was 86 years old and is survived by six children: Mrs. J. H. Rucker, Blackwater, Mo.; Mrs. Giles H. Smith, San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. George Cogswell, Hutchinson, Kans.; Ben Irvine, Banning, Calif.; Bob Irvine and Marshall Irvine of Baltimore, Md. Mr. and Mrs. Irvine were former residents at Blackwater.
