The home of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Fravel of Toms Brook was the scene of a very pretty wedding which occurred on Saturday night, when Miss Mary Hester Fravel became the bride of Mr. Blaine Wisman. The ceremony was performed by the pastor Rev. L. N. Wilson, in the presence of a large number of invited guests.
The bride, who is a highly esteemed young woman was attended by Miss Viola Fravel and Miss Ethel Fravel, Miss Virgie Hottle and Miss Nelle Rutz. The groom well known as a school teacher of the county, was attended by Mr. Ernest Wisman, Mr. Marlon Fravel, Mr. Albert Bushong and Mr. Austin Hottle. Little Virginia Saum acted as ring-bearer and Irene Keller, as license bearer. Mrs. C. A. Fravel played the wedding march.

Blaine Wisman, 79, of 507 W. King St., Strasburg, died Thursday afternoon in Shenandoah County Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Wisman was born Feb. 19, 1893 at St. Luke, son of the late Joseph F. Wisman and Luella Maphis Wisman. He was a retired insurance agent and real estate broker.
He was a member of the Church of the Brethren. He taught in Shenandoah County public schools and also at Massanutten Military Academy.
He was also a farmer. He was a graduate of Ashland College in Ashland, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Hester Fravel Wisman; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Wilcox of Charlottesville and Mrs. Irving (Marie) Kibler of Maurertown; one son, Joseph Wisman of Bethesda, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Flora Sweeney of Toms Brook and Mrs. Richard (Grace) Painter of Edinburg; two brothers, Otis Wisman of Cumberland, Md., and Harry Wisman of Edinburg; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from St. John's United Church of Christ at Harrisville.
The Rev. Gerald Martin will officiate at the service. Interment will be in Harrisville Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Melvin Kibler, J. William Foltz, Robert Borden, Bud Rutz, Jack Pangle and Ernest F. Keller.
Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Keller, Cecil Fravel, Carl Keller, Douglas Hottel, Dr. Douglas Wisman, Tom Sweeney and Robert J. Conner.
The body is at the Stover Funeral Home in Strasburg.
The family will meet at the Wisman home about an hour prior to the service Sunday.
