ALBANY GIRL MARRIED IN DUBUQUE CEREMONY

Albany—Miss Letha Laughridge, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Laughridge, south of Albany, and Clarence Zweifel, Belleville, were married Wednesday afternoon in Dubuque, Ia., by Justice J. C. Hogan. The bride is a 1933 graduate of Albany high school and attended Green county normal in Monroe for several months. The groom is employed on the William Legler farm near Dayton, where the couple will reside.

Zweifel, Mrs. Clarence (Letha M.)

BROOKLYN/MONTICELLO — Mrs. Clarence (Letha M.) Zweifel, age 73, of Brooklyn Township, Brooklyn, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 1989, at a Madison hospital. She was the daughter of Eugene and Alma Sylvester Laughridge. She was married to Clarence L. Zweifel, on April 28, 1937. They had resided on their present farm in Brooklyn Township since 1948. She is survived by her husband; a son, Gerald L. (Mardell) Zweifel of Brooklyn Township; four brothers, Roy and Donald of Albany, Moses of Coloma, California, and George of Florida; three sisters, Mrs. Emily Mueller of Argyle, Mrs. Iva Briggs of Brooklyn, and Mrs. Ruby Bernstein of Evansville; three granddaughters, Mrs. Cindy Koepp, Mrs. Pam Dumphy and Mrs. Carmen Shrader; and five great-grandsons, Lee and Sam Koepp, Ryan Dumphy and Troy and Travis Shrader. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Franklin; and two sisters, Rachel Nipple and Mrs. Blanche Meyer. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 4, 1989, at 1:30 p.m. at the Zwingli United Church of Christ. The Reverend Kay Welsch, Pastor of the Albany United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery, Monticello. Friends and relatives may call after 6:00 p.m. at the Zwingli Church Memorial Lounge, 426 East Lake Avenue on Thursday, August 4, 1989.

BROOKLYN - Clarence L. Zweifel, age 91, of Brooklyn, died on Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, at Stoughton Hospital. Survivors include a son, Gerald L. (Mardell) Zweifel of Brooklyn; two granddaughters, Cindy (Lynn) Staude of Fort Atkinson, and Pam (Jim) Dunphy of Albany; six great-grandsons, Lee Koepp and Jenny Zitzner, both of Brooklyn, Sam Koepp of Green Bay, Ryan Dunphy and Ross Dunphy, both of Albany, Travis Shrader and Troy Shrader, both of Belleville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Letha on July 31, 1989; a granddaughter, Carmen Zweifel Shrader on Jan. 6, 1991; six brothers; and two sisters. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the VOEGELI-NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monticello. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery, Monticello. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund will be established in Clarence's name.
