Obituaries

Saline County Weekly Progress, March 13, 188411171

The death of young Mrs. Arthur Irvine at her home near Sulphur Springs, northeast of town, last Monday night was very sad. She was Miss Nora Bruce, daughter of Mr. J. E. Bruce, one of our finest citizens, and had not been married more than a year. She was an especial favorite of all who knew her, and her being cut down in the flower of her youth is a terrible blow to her young husband and her loving and deeply bereaved relatives. We hope some of the relatives or friends will send the Progress the full details to make a funeral notice which will appropriately announce the sad event to such as happen to be at a distance.
